EASTER MONDAY

After 4 days of nothing to see and do around the house, I went to Tagaytay Highlands earlier today. Even if it was for work, I enjoy going there because of the view. I never get tired of the view.

We arrived earlier than expected since there was no traffic in SLEX. We set up the place and waited for children to visit the model house.

SAY GOODBYE TO THE YEAR THAT WAS

Spent the New Year in Tagaytay. I love it here, so peaceful. There’s no smell of gunpowder and deafening noises courtesy of five stars and triangles.

I walked around the front and back yards to take photos of the surroundings. I’ve taken so many photos of the same plants and flowers, but they always come out different every time. Nature is amazing.

I also bought some bubbles at a bazaar. I don’t know why, but I had an urge to play with bubbles. Hahaha!

Enjoy the new year guys! 2012 will be the year of awesome!

SYMPHONY OF LIFE AND COLORS

A LEGACY OF FILIPINO CUISINE

In Tagaytay, tucked between modern looking structures lies an unassuming white building that serves good filipino cuisine.

Pamana is an Ongpauco owned restaurant, and its menu composes of different recipes compiled over the years from the best cooks in the Philippines.

Their walls were covered with vintage photos, posters and memorabilia. Look at that old school camera!

Since stopping at Pamana was spur of the moment, we weren’t really that hungry, so I just ordered Aligue rice (sinful!) and Okoy.

The food was so good! I’d go back to Pamana whenever I’m back at Tagaytay.

A DAY AT THE HIGHLANDS

Tagaytay Highlands had a halloween event entitled, “Hallowgreen.”

It was my first time to drive up to Highlands alone, and it was an exhilarating experience!

The view will always be breathtaking.

I love these chairs! You can get them at Ethan Allen.

There were horror decors at the Model House, where kids can go and hunt for stuff in exchange for gold coins.

After the event, we had a snack at Geraldine’s. I had Ice cream puffs.

I love the theme of Geraldine’s. The 50s diner look is so retro chic. They even had a jukebox.

Afterwards we went to The Country Club to get some bread.

I got a Bavarian Cheese Loaf and a couple of chocolate muffins.

THE WEEKEND THAT WAS AWESOME

Meng, Me-ann, Nico and Jonash decided to go to Tagaytay with my family yesterday.

We decided to have lunch at MushroomBurger.

Meng got this camera just for this trip. Hahaha! Her deciding factor for this particular model? It comes in hot pink.

There was a playground at the back of MushroomBurger, so we played for a while.

Then we headed straight to Olivarez Plaza for the ukay ukays!

After that, we had a “shoot” at the house, super fun!

Had Starbucks at Summit Ridge.

Then, today (Sunday) we had lunch at David’s Hot Pot in Nuvali!
