ENTER THE DRAGON

I covered the Grand Launch of Sycamore Heights, the latest development in luxurious Tagaytay Highlands.

The latest addition to Lakeside Fairways boasts of world class amenities, and with its Asian Contemporary theme, the best time to launch was during the Chinese New Year.

It was a night of green elegance, with the house designs made by architectural firm, L.V. Locsin and Partners used the terrain of Tagaytay to their advantage and created a living space that perfectly melds contemporary design and eco friendliness.

We had a string quartet from the esteemed Phil. Philharmonic Orchestra to play soothing music all throughout the night.

Delicious food from Banana Leaf! I especially liked the awesome Prawn balls and cheese! Heaven!

Check out the give away! See that knot? We did that! It’s called a Chinese good luck knot and it’s supposed to give you, well, good luck. I have one in my office desk.

PACIFIC PHOTOGRAPHY: A HISTORY

I was visiting my old Multiply site, and I looked at my old photos during my college years where I did some photo shoots and covered some events for the Faculty of Arts and Letters.

Baccalaureate Mass, 2010

UST Paskuhan, 2009

Amplify: AB Songfest, 2009

CASACAM Photowalk, 2009

CASA Executive Board Photoshoot, 2009

AB Dancy Synery Photoshoot, 2009

Revive the AB Faculty Vibe: Faculty Show, 2009

Photography Portraiture Seminar, 2009

AB Dancy Synergy Photoshoot, 2008

I can say that my photography has evolved, somewhat. I have learned not to rely on Aperture Priority and ventured into full manual control. My logo changed a few times, too.

When I first started doing photography I used a point and shoot camera, and finally convinced my parents that I was passionate enough to have a DSLR. This was one hobby I didn’t just happen to love and then forget about when I found something new, photography became something I enjoy, so much so I volunteer to be a photographer in events. The sheer thrill of being able to capture something so fleeting is addictive.

I will keep shooting, until the day my shutter limit has reached its max. Then I know it’s time for an upgrade.

The Nancy Gonzalez Crocodile Tote is one bag I’d carry to any event. Roomy enough for an everyday bag, yet luxurious enough to be used with the most gorgeous of dresses and gowns.
As someone who’d rather carry a bag like this to social functions and formal events, because I can fit my SLR in it, plus the there’s a body strap making it easier to carry.

MONOCHROME HOLIDAY

I had lunch with my friends today, and it was so much fun seeing my barkada again.

We ate at David’s Hot Pot in Trinoma. Delicious food!

After lunch, we decided to go around Trinoma to “lose” some of the weight we gained after eating. LOL.

A lot of stores were on sale, and I found it funny that Debenhams is throwing a sale of 5% off. I actually shouted, “OMG 5% off!”

We got tired of Trinoma and headed for Greenhills.

We finally settled on a place to eat, after a few hours of going around Shoppesville. We went to Pasto, and it did not dissapoint.

We had Pasta! Gamberi, Pesto, and the other ones I can’t even pronounce nor spell. Hahaha!

Panna Cotta!

We had so much fun just laughing about random stuff. More moments like these are most definitely welcome!

18 TO LIFE

I attended the debutante party of a family friend’s eldest daughter last night at Bulacan. There were so many guests!

This was why no one was allowed to wear violet dresses! Haha! The debutante finally arrives, I swear her dress could pass as a wedding gown if it was done in white. Very princess-y.

I love the colors of the cake, mint green, pink and lavender.

Finally, Food!

Lengua in creamy sauce, shrimp tempura, tanigue in lemon butter sauce, lechon. And loads of rice!

The debutante with her chandelier earrings.

The 18 roses. I didn’t take photos of all of them, mauubos ang SD memory ko!

Doing an old fashioned ballroom dance to the tune of Awitin mo, Isasayaw ko.

Party mode na si ate.

The debutante’s parents joined in the dance.

After shock shots. I only had one, it was intense… for me. My low tolerance for alcohol prevents me from drinking.

Paper lanterns.

It’s one AM, and I’m tired.

But not tired enough for a photo of myself.
